Here are some wonderful photos taken by Glenn of the Sunday afternoon (14 Sept 2025) of our three day refight of Eckmuhl, 22 April 1809. I won't try to caption them as everything will be covered by my main blog posts in due course. Glenn takes some clever angles so they make a great supplement to my usual fare. That means you get super close ups of some of the figures but perspective distortion of the distance across the table. The gloss varnished figures are all 18mm AB Miniatures from the collection of Paul B of Cheltenham. Richard Newcombe provided a French Cuirassier brigade of Essex Miniatures and James Fergusson another one of a brand I'm not familiar with. All the rest were from my collection of a great variety of 15-18mm figures about half painted by me and the rest bought ready painted on Ebay. Many, but not all, of them have been "Greggicised" by a unifying fluffy light green grassy scatter on the bases.
I hope you enjoy Glenn's photos and if so feel free to thank him in a comment below. Thanks a lot from me Glenn.

I did actually do a lot more than just looking at pieces of paper and pointing!

Superb pictures Chris - 15mm gaming at its best - so well done
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Kerry - on Glenn's behalf too for his photos
DeleteAs much as I love the look of your 28mm games (spectacular), there's something so perfect about Napoleonic wargaming. That game looks perfect. Viva 15mm!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anonymous - it would be good to know who you are. I agree with you 28mm is easy to photograph and make look good, but for the wide sweep of a proper Nap battle you have to go down the scales. Keep following the blog - thank you
